“Dear friends at Seva Care (Community Care),
I am writing this in order to share a recent health scare that I experienced in August of 2024. As I had previously never been hospitalized and had enjoyed overall good health, I was quite shocked to learn that I needed major surgery as soon as possible. Feeling overwhelmed and unsure of my ability to navigate through the healthcare system on my own, I reached out to some of your team members. I was pleasantly surprised when they offered to help. From the many pre-op appointments, to the hospital stay, to the post-op follow up appointments, someone was always with me, ready to do the needful. I was especially impressed with the Meals On Wheels and Meal Trains that were set up for us so I didn’t have to worry about cooking for my family. This allowed me to focus on my healing journey. What a relief to know that help was always available!
The resources provided by your kind and understanding members went a long way to make me feel positive and hopeful about my recovery period that lay ahead. My desire is that others can learn about and benefit from the many services you offer. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for helping me through this challenging period of my life. You have no idea how much it meant to me and my family.
Sincerely,
Nancy Delaney (aka Nataka-candrika dasi)
