Devotee Care Volunteer Recognition – December 8th 2024

Sevacare of Alachua will recognize the many devotees who have volunteered to
provide Devotee Care to the Vaisnavas of New Raman Reti. Around one hundred
of our devotees have volunteered their time and resources to helping their fellow
devotees in a variety of ways. This type of care includes:
 spiritual, physical, and emotional support for community members.
 Connecting the community with professional medical assistance
 Hospital visits
 Providing rides to appointments
 Meal trains
 Advocacy
 Home checks for single, elderly, and those with health challenges
 Companionship and personal connection with community members
 Reading spiritual texts and discussion
 Nursing home visits
 Letter writing/phone calls
 Meals on Wheels preparation and delivery
 End of Life Care
 Grief Counseling
The devotee volunteers will be recognized during the Sunday Feast
Announcements on December 8 th . This will be followed by a Class on the topic of
devotee care and service to the Vaisnavas. And the Sevacare will help sponsor big Sunday Feast 🙂
